Build your confidence with this Diploma in Hair and Beauty. This is a hands-on course where you will learn the foundations of what you need to start your career. You will study wearing salon uniform for practical classes, practising on classmates first before turning your skills to real clients.
On this course you will:
– Learn skincare, handcare, makeup and nail art
– Develop manicure and pedicure skills
– Get an introduction to the beauty industry
– Learn how to present a professional image in the salon
– Learn shampooing, conditioning, styling, finishing and plaiting
– Learn how to present a professional image in the salon
– Gain experience working and supporting in a commercial salon in an assisting role

Assessments
The course is assessed with a combination of practical demonstration, assignment, and multiple-choice tests for some qualifications.
Entry Requirements
You must hold four GCSEs at grade 2 or equivalent (or above), including Maths and English.
Progression
You could progress to a Level 2 beauty therapy course, further study, or employment in the beauty industry.
