Health (Nursing) T Level
If you want to make a real difference in the world, you could start your journey with a T Level in Health. This course blends classroom learning with
hands-on experience in the health sector, including a minimum 315-hour placement to build your skills and confidence in real care settings. In Year 2 you will specialise in Adult Nursing.
On this course you will:
– Learn about working in health and science
– Understand managing information and data in healthcare
– Study infection prevention and control, and health and wellbeing
– Develop good scientific and clinical practice, and complete a 315-hour placement

Assessments
The final grades are assessed via examination as well as written assessments. You must also complete the minimum placement hours to succeed on the course.
Entry Requirements
To be accepted onto this T Level programme, you must hold at least six GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including GCSE Maths and English Language.
You will also need a grade 5 or above in Science.
Progression
You could progress to university, a higher or degree apprenticeship, or employment across a variety of healthcare settings.
Study Programme
Every full-time student at North Devon College will have their own Study Programme which will include:
– Your academic or vocational qualification.
– Maths and English Language development – if you have not achieved GCSE grade 4 in either of these subjects.
– Work Experience – hours will vary depending on your qualification and course level.
– Tutor Support – to support your personal, academic and professional development.
– Sustainability – helping you to identify how you can improve the sustainability of your future employment sectors.
– Personal Development Awards – developing six key areas of personal and employability behaviours to prepare you for the working world.
As this course requires you to undertake work placements with children and/or vulnerable adults, a DBS check is required.
