You will get stuck into real construction projects from the start, building anything from new homes to heritage renovations, and gain the skills the UK needs to build greener, smarter and better places to live, learn and work.
On this course you will:
– Work safely and sustainably on building sites
– Read plans, including digital ones, and bring them to life
– Master fire door systems, advanced cutting, splicing and fitting techniques
– Lead on site and make sure work meets top quality and legal standards

Assessments
Assessment consists of on-programme assessment, an assessment gateway, and an end-point assessment made up of a knowledge assessment and a practical assessment.
Entry Requirements
– Level 2 apprenticeship, or demonstrate the equivalent knowledge, skills and competency
– GCSE English and Maths grade 4 before your last assessment
Progression
You could progress into skilled employment as a craft carpenter or joiner, or into supervisory and site management roles.
